In the process of breaking down several very large estate lots of correspondence and I came across these. Would like to know if they fit the Scott classification, and if so, what year they were made considering the posted dates are much later. The back of the first card has a personal message written in pencil, and the back of the second card has a political message from a state senator for the war effort. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Two more...

UX27 was issued in 1914 and was the workhorse postal card until the postal card rate went 2 cents in 1952 (with the exception of the Nov 2, 1917-June 30 1919 war rate era). Thus UX27 was in continual production for nearly 40 years with some minor variations ignored by most collectors. (except UX27C and UX27D, of course!) UX27 exists in huge numbers so any value will be driven by the postmark or message.

These appear indistinguishable from the ones that have book value of $200-400. Am I looking for differences in paper?

(I'm terrible at I.D.ing stamps.)

Thanks, that guide was informative. I can see now that the paper stock is not the rough grey variety and the Jefferson vignette does not appear to be of lesser quality.

I've got many other varieties including Washington (Martha and George). Is there a rare variety of these to watch out for?

I have a couple of 1 cent Jeffersons I found in the drawer of a desk I inherited from my father. They were in use for a long time.
