Sad reading, Geoff. I heard it on the radio as well. Every time I'm on holiday I send postcards but I am clearly in a declining minority. Some of the cards in the more remote bits of the Scottish Highlands look like they have been in the same rack for over 30 years. Cars and haircuts can be amusing.

I must admit that, although I send them, it's only two or three per holiday. I probably buy more of the arty type to frame at home. I occasionally send pre-war cards from my collection of junk to friends.
