Perhaps someone with more patience than I will be able to match-up an existing postcard (or linked gImage) to a new photograph to show the change in El Capitan.

The wikipage for the Old Man of the Mountain has a nice composite before/after picture to show its historic condition (a popular tourist postcard) and its current condition (or lack thereof).
