I'm not a revenue collector, but I'm well aware that the Morton Dean Joyce collection was one of the best collections ever formed. So much so that the catalog for that sale is required reference material for serious revenue collectors.

What happened to the rest of his collection after 1991? Scattered to the four winds or held mostly intact?

Very scattered. Anyone interested in revenues who does not have the two Joyce auction catalogs should make a point of getting them. Truly amazing. I do think the essays collection is overvalued, however. Limited market.

Just to clarify, because someone is going to ask:

The second major Joyce catalog is the private die proprietaries (aka match and medicine stamps), from Andrew Levitt, held on September 12-14, 1991.

Also, the Kelleher firm offered many additional revenues from the collection in the months following the main Joyce sale.
