[Warning: rant alert!]

I've tried using Delcampe, it just doesn't have material in my collecting area. That said, I still occasionally go over there and search/browse... and the 10 minutes later wonder why I bothered.

I've read the bruhahas over the years with respect to website redesign and fee hikes and the rather draconian "we will not tolerate any discussion on the matter" approach they take in their community.

This one frosts my nads though.

Email from Delcampe this afternoon which states (emphasis mine):

Quote:
Please note that we have updated the General Terms and Conditions of Use for the Delcampe website (the Charter). By continuing to use our website, you implicitly agree to comply with them.

And with it a link... TO A 54-PAGE PDF BOOK OF TERMS AND CONDITIONS WITH ZERO INDICATION OF WHAT HAS CHANGED!

Seriously???

That's worse than any bank or credit card company when they change terms and conditions. Even ebay doesn't take idiocy that far.

Good grief!

Hi revenuecollector, seems like if you keep going back you must have some interest at that web site!

Most likely a requirement imposed by the French Government.
I personally don't care for Delcampe...and I am somewhat fluent in French!

Delcampe is my first port-of-call for unusual Poland & Poland-related material, never had a problem with the dealers there.

I buy often from Delcampe and notice auction prices don't go up
as they do on e bay.Not too many bidders at the same time or no other bidders, so that's OK for me.!One thing I don't like is having to ask for the invoice everytime. Most sellers send it the same day but not always.
In that respect E bay is smoother in it's operations and very fast.Obviously Delcampe's server is on a smaller scale.

I started collecting an esoteric area and am finding that I can find items for the collection in Europe, listed on Delcampe, that are not available on ebay. Purchasing on Delcampe is more cumbersome than on ebay, but I've had no trouble in any of my buys.
