Assuming the stamps were unused and averaged 2C apiece that would be $200, a goodly amount in those times, and if the P.O. would actually mail it, I would assume that it would possibly be enough to send to someone, somewhere. If not, how much postage due would be stuck to the car when it arrived at it's destination? Heck if you could mail a child, why not a car?

Also it would be a real postal clerk's nightmare. What would he cancel the stamps with - a paint brush?
