Hi

What is missing in all these discussions: What Font is being used?

For currency symbols see:
http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U20A0.pdf

The displayed symbol is dependent on the Font.

It is relatively easy to convert the Hex code to a decimal value. Once one has the Decimal Value, then ALT+Value will display the currency character. Remember that the NUMLOCK key must have been previously pressed.

Yes, but none of the currency symbols on that page are in the Windows-1252 character set anyway, so none of them can be used on this forum. The currency symbols that are in Windows-1252 are $¢£¤¥€. For those not familiar with ¤, it is a symbol that represents some unspecified currency.

Interestingly, when I posted that the resulting message appeared in Chrome to read "The currency symbols that are in Windows-1252 are $#1074;#1075;#1076;#1077;#1040;". But when I viewed the message using Firefox, they appeared correctly. Wonder how they will look in this message!
