I am asking out of curiosity, not because I disagree with any opinions.

Regarding Italian states - in particular, the Tuscany 3l stamp in question. How consistent are the printings of Typographic stamps?

I'm not too familiar with the art of printing, but I've used my buddy's vintage printing press and find the whole process of arranging typefaces and frames to be quite challenging. Did they simply change out font for the numerical values or did they create a typeface for every stamp value? I can imagine a scenario where letter spacing, frames and vignettes being disturbed, creating inconsistencies in printing.

The link to the Italian postal history site is fantastic, btw! I've barely dipped my toes into collecting Italian States and have never took the time to research my stamps (the Scott catalogue is worthless for research purposes). I am going to enjoy it!

I received a Scotts Part I album and when I opened it to China - these three stamps were proudly displayed. I can't bring myself to remove them, I feel like they just need to stay there and I smile every time I see them. Great posts - enjoyed reading the previous pages!
