Trying to up load photos I have a lot of used stamps that were cut off of envelops and I don't want to herd possible value. should I remove stamps from paper and put in stock book or levee as is?
Robm1093, if they are not on a complete envelope any longer I would soak them off. But it all depends on hat they are - I agree with Redwoodrandy in that we need to see some pictures,
Id depends, if they are old i.e. before 1950 leave on also have they got god cancels, postmarks can sometime be worth more than the stamp. After 1950, again does it have a good postmark, if yes leave otherwise removal might be the option, test a few out first, some newer ones have extra adhesive. Images would be nice to give clearer information.
If the post mark is visible on the stamp on paper, DO NOT REMOVE THE STAMP. No1. you have a used stamp on paper/cover. No2. Collectors assemble Post Marks. So you have both, stamp on cover/paper, AND the Post Mark. Sam
