Looks like some people do collect them. Very nice. I suspect the post office did the same with cards as they did with commerative stamps; print so many in a year that collectors couldn't keep up, so gave up. Did the flood stop? Am I correct in thinking that the last card, a tree, came out two years ago?

They don't print them any more? Didn't know that. Is there a reference on line anywhere that shows them all?

I have been collecting postal cards for several years. I prefer unaddressed first day cancels with a nice cachet, but will use mint, used or any condition filler for anything I don't have. I also like the used postal cards from the 1970's through the early 1900's, they can be quite interesting.

Dave, I don't think ddreisba meant that the USPS stopped printing postal cards, just that the last time they issued one was two years ago. There is less demand for these cards, so the USPS doesn't put them out regularly like stamps. My guess is you'll see a new one shortly after the next rate hike.

Never really collected them, but I bought a large WW collection with a large, OVERSTUFFED binder of US postal cards, air letter sheets and stamped envelopes, on Minkus pages included. All are from the early 70's to about 1989, so not a lot of CV there, but a nice selection of mint items to get started. Not sure if I want to keep these on the Minkus pages or not, they're kind of messed up.
I actually like many of the images on these later ones.
