The Powers that be decided that all the mailboxes had to be redone. They've apparently picked two new colour schemes -- this one with maple leaves on it and another one where the box is covered with Postal Codes in all colours, which I couldn't find a picture of, but count your blessings -- it's literally sickmaking.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. They could have taken all the money they spent on this and sunk it into improving service instead, but did they? Nooooooooo...
Just watch what will happen at contract time -- there'll be picket lines because management will be pleading poverty yet again...
