Here is an image of a definitive stamp depicting an ocean liner underway, engraved and printed by Hamilton Bank Note Company, and issued by El Salvador in 1896, Scott No. 157F.

I worked for Geest (UK) for about 8 years, and the Geestland was one the Geest Lines larger ships.

Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting French Navy corvettes (aviso-escorteurs) active in the Southern Ocean, designed and engraved by Jean Delpech, and issued for use in French Southern and Antarctic Territories in 1979: Doudart de Lagrée and Commandant Bourdais, Scott Nos. 84 & 85.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting MV Kirksons, a small coastal freighter, engraved and printed by Waterlow & Sons, Ltd., and issued for use in Turks & Caicos Islands on February 1, 1955, Scott No. 119.

Here are images of the four stamps in a Norwegian coastal communication set, designed by Norwegian artist Fredrik Matheson (1908-1999), engraved by Knut Løkke-Sørensen (1 kr value) and Sverre Morken (others), and issued by Norway on June 22, 1977, Scott Nos. 698-701, Facit Nos. 780-83.

hi........can anyone identify...or know ...if the British Empire 1949 UPU omnibus issue 'paddle steamer' was based on an actual ship......??...if so which one...??
