I bought this cover because I find it very attractive + the 25 tax surcharge.I can't make out the date ,but it looks like 1849.Sometimes covers in poor condition are interesting for themselves.!Museum piece in 200 yrs?
I always like very old covers, though I am not sure this one will be around in 200 years much less 100 years or even 50 years. The paper is pretty far along towards completely disintegrating.
