congratulations on your purchase. btw

Thanks Jon,
However, I did not purchase, I set my value opinion and (generally) do not budge.

I work on 25% of Scott, and perhaps go a smidge over, if they are scarcer.

If you making your own pages, as a WW collector, you must be a busy fellow.........

No, my collection is all stored on Vario pages - so I'm not exactly making them, just arranging the set-up.

Additionally I'm creating digital (virtual) pages, however only for the classical period and only for a few selected areas (like the one from France in this thread). I might choose to do that simply as a 'supplement' if I would like to see how certain stamps might have looked - if they had been mounted on classic album pages - and if they had been arranged on pages where there are not lots of empty spaces for all varieties etc. (like in my Vario set-up where a 'complete' series according to major catalog numbers often appear to be incomplete due to empty spaces for missing varieties). Anyway, for the vast majority of stamp issues I am not making pages.

Yes, absolutely overloaded! But in the end - whichever way a WW collector should choose to collect or arrange a WW collection - it is not enough time anyway - so the art is to have fun regardless

Now, that's two generous gentlemen

Btw, I agree off course, always some nice pages to be seen from down below.

Rod, send me a mail with your address, I've got a few spare Brazilian postcards ( for which there seems no point in making more contests/give-aways due to rather low interest)
Jon

Rod,
Your name and address is now on this 'Xmas card' from Brazil :

Nothing to do with Bermuda at all, only because you're generous.

Edit: I missed your message above, thank you for the duplicates, I did not know! Will be exciting to see when I get home. Thanks!!.

QUERY:

Anyone aware whom engraved Her Majesty please?

I am assuming Monsieur Jean Ferdinand Joubert De La Ferte ?

Rod,
I may repeat myself but it is always a pleasure looking at your stamps-pages-threads and Thank You! for the Bermuda dups that Santa Claus is bringing over from Australia and the same can be said for my special Canada envelope which will certainly miss X-Mas but will get to Perth as promised This s not meant to highjack your fine thread...

I know this one will fill a hole.......

Today from Leonard Hartmann. Philatelic Literature Dealer.

Bermuda Crossroads of the Atlantic A Postal History by Arthur H. Groten & David R. Pitts From the APS, it was withdrawn from sale and is now again available with an errata sheet. We do not know all the details but one of the evident problems it was set up for smithies sewing and was perfect bound thus cutting off the inner margins. 2017, 150 pages, extensive color, hard bound, with a CD in PDF format, $49.00, should have when we return from Europe
