Why would anyone spend even a dollar on half of a stamp when they could get a decent (whole) one for a few dollars more?

p.s. The stamp is actually misidentified: it's actually RS190d.

It's still a common stamp though.

No, it's actually correct. These are two different stamps, one for R.V. Pierce and one for World's Dispensary Medical Association. The difference is in the label near the bottom.

Sorry, but no, it's not.

RS273d is World's dispensary, and RS190d is Pierce.

The seller identifies the (partial) stamp as RS273.

The (barely recognizable) stamp in the seller's image is clearly a RS190 Pierce stamp.
