sinclair2010 --> I did ask at the auction house about a consignment but we didn't agree on the possible prices that would be fetched. As for the troll comment, you're obviously a Troll.
rogdcam --> Thank you rogdcam, the help I requested was that I am trying to research more and a few very nice members sent me links and information to that end.
Please if posting in my thread can we stay on topic. If you have nothing useful for me or others that find this thread than don't post.

The forum is a two-way street, and knowing the context and goals of an inquiry is important to members, so please don't seek to shut down those questions. You have been given a reference to the seminal text on this subject, which answers your original question. If you have other specific questions, ask them. You can also come back after reading Belasco's book if questions arise at that point. |

Thank you cj, I am a member also. I am not seeking to shut anything down except for irrelevant comments that pertain nothing to my thread.

Instead of worrying about where the stamps came from, focus on the stamps.
I've collected private perforations for quite some time and this group looks pretty good to me. In general it's not a particular high value group so little reason to suspect mischief. Of course the Farwells would be the first to confirm, but all in all they don't look too bad.
Congratulations on a nice start to a vending & affixing collection |

Just to understand you better: You don't have any specific questions about the stamps you showed but only need "any information" about this topic in general, is this correct then? If you have more specific questions, ask them of course, as me and other member then could learn from your thread also.

Quote: Instead of worrying about where the stamps came from, focus on the stamps. With all due respect, it is never just about the stamps. If I see a new member come here with a lot that looks like something that the Cartel would package, I am going to do everything I can do to educate the buyer about not only the stamps, but the seller and his business practices. Frankly, I remain suspicious about a number of things... |

I agree with Winston. I have absolutely seen that material before online arranged in the same way as presented here. I am also sure that it was a cartel listing. It does not show up in ebay searches but my memory for these things is excellent. When I saw it previously I remember doing research on the stamps and also Googling the stamp dealer/ auctioneer Fox. That is the reason that I broached the Cartel subject in the first place. |

*** Edited by Staff - Please Review the rules that you agreed to when you registered. *** My Apologies I added a cuss word with these #$$#$ or somthing like that. Overall what I did say here was. Quote: I feel like I am in some kind of Bourne movie. What is this Cartel? And I can assure you these have not seen the light of day for over 30 years. |

Did you post that photo previously on some other site, somewhere "the cartel" could have stolen the image? Use the Search box above, enter the cartel for an education on who 'they" are and what they do, or is that what they won't do? |

Use the Search box above, enter the cartel for an education on who 'they" are and what they do, or is that what they won't do? Ok I see its a counterfeiter and from what I read he was jailed and released and still doing his dirty deeds. There is no possible way someone had my images and posted them unless they hacked my phone or ipad or someone at Siegel Auctions took pics and gave them to someone cause they are the only ones that have had this besides me. |
