Hi,
I noticed that some CIPEX Poster Stamps or Cinderellas are printed on a light colored paper with an all-over pattern of the letters ESPC and a small symbol or half size letter.
Does anyone know what the letters stand for and why the different papers?
Thank you

Hi

The initials stand for Eureka Specialty Printing Company.

They also printed many other items, such as the items shown below.

Also shown is a note about their security paper.

Jim

Hi Jim,
Thank you so much! As another poster said Well Done! I would never have found that information without you.

Here's another Eureka example.

These are blank trading stamps, which are basically test stamps.

Trading stamps were given out with purchases from grocery stores. Once a certain amount was placed into their stamp booklets, the booklets could be traded in for various products.

Ahh, the 1960s...

Jim
