Here are images of the four stamps in a set depicting Greek mythological subjects on 5th century BC vases, printed by lithography, and issued by Greece on June 24, 1974, Scott Nos. 1112-15.

Children's Day 1984 issue depicts herdsmen & cattle in the forest. It is based is on a painting by an Orthopedically handicapped child artist Master Hanif Kasam of Bombay. The First Day Cover shows a painting by Pravin Pramod Khairnar of Distt Nasik (Maharashtra).

Here is an image of a stamp designed after a painting entitled La niña de la jarra, by Spanish artist Julio Romero de Torres (1874-1930), printed by photogravure, and issued by Spain on March 24, 1965 as one of ten stamps in a set honoring the work of the artist, Scott No. 1296, plus an image of the original painting.

Dokathismata female figurine, Early Cycladic II, Syros phase (2800-2300 BC), discovered on the Aegean island of Amorgos, printed by lithography, and issued by Greece on April 26, 1979, Scott No. 1292, plus a photo of the figurine, on display at the Goulandris Museum of Cycladic Art.

Wonderful art stamps from Oman. Lovely to see clear images of older paintings.

The Greece stamps are amazing also. Very old Cycladic culture sfigurine shown.

Anselm Feuerbach (12 September 1829 – 4 January 1880) was a German painter. He was the leading classicist painter of the German 19th-century school. The stamp features his painting "Iphigenia"

Here is an image of an airmail stamp reproducing a miniature painting entitled "The Scribe" (Baghdad, 1287), printed by photogravure (Delrieu), and issued by Mali on October 26, 1970 as an example of Islamic art, Scott No. C107.
