Juan de Juni (c. 1507-1577) was a French–Spanish sculptor, painter and architect. Here are images of the three engraved stamps in a strip depicting details from de Juni's polychrome wood sculpture entitled "The Burial of Christ" (1541-1544), wood sculpting tools, and a portrait of Juan de Juni, and issued by Spain on March 26, 1978, Scott Nos. 2087-89, plus an image of the original work of art in the National Sculpture Museum, Valladolid.

Here is an image of a stamp designed and engraved by French artist Claude Durrens (1921-2003) after "The Lamentation over the Dead Christ" (c. 1533-34), a drawing in black chalk by Italian artist Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564), and issued by Monaco in November, 1975 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Michelangelo's birth, Scott No. 1002, plus an image of the original recto.

Here is an image of a stamp designed by Paul Froitzheim after a self-portrait drawing by German painter Hans Holbein the Elder (c. 1465-1524), combined engraved by Egon Falz (1932-2010) and lithography, and issued by Germany on July 16, 1974, Scott No. 1151, Michel No. 813, plus an image of the original work of art.

Here is an image of a stamp designed and engraved by French artist Claude Andréotto (1949- ) after a detail from a painting entitled Repas de paysans ("The Peasants' Meal," 1642), by French artist Louis Le Nain (c. 1593-1648), and issued by Monaco on October 20, 1988 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the birth of Louis's painter brother, Antoine Le Nain, Scott No. 1648, plus an image of the original work of art. Note: It is now thought that Antoine Le Nain was actually born c. 1599. Also, Scott (2008 ed.) mistakenly identifies Antoine as the painter of this picture.

Here is an image of a stamp designed after a bas-relief sculpture in the Cloister of Abbey of Santo Domingo depicting Jesus Christ and two disciples on the Road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-32), engraved by Pablo Sampedro Molero (1935- ), and issued by Spain on October 26, 1973 as one of a set of three stamps commemorating the Santo Domingo de Silos Monastery, Burgos, Scott No. 1788, Edifil No. 2161, plus an image of the sculpture.
