Here are images of the two stamps in a set depicting paintings by early 20th century Japanese artists, and issued by Japan on June 25, 1979, Scott Nos. 1361 & 1362.

Motarete tatsu hito ("Leaning Figure," 1917) by Tetsugoro Yorozu (1885-1927), combined engraved and photogravure.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting The Lion of Belfort, a monumental sculpture in red sandstone completed in 1880 by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi (1834-1904), designed and engraved by French artist Eugène Lacaque (1914-2005), and issued by Dahomey on August 20, 1974, Scott No. C233, plus an image of a photo of the Lion of Belfort with people standing in front of it, showing its enormous size. Note: The lion symbolizes the heroic French resistance during the Siege of Belfort, a 103-day Prussian assault (from December 1870 to February 1871) during the Franco-Prussian War.

Today another Albrecht Dürer was added to the many that have already been issued by countries around the world. "Das Große Rasenstück" (1503) was issued for the topic biodiversity and protection of the environment, surcharge of 30 €cent. The original can be seen at the Albertina in Vienna. There aren't very many pastures and meadows left supporting so many different species: fertilizers and "weed" killers have taken a toll.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting three cherubs gazing at a star, designed by the late Brazilian graphic artist Almir da Silva Mavignier (1925-2018) after a detail in the upper portion of a painting entitled Der Morgen ("Morning," 1808) by Romantic German painter Philipp Otto Runge (1777-1810), printed by lithography, and issued by Germany on November 13, 1977 to commemorate the bicentenary of Runge's birth, Scott No. 1254, Michel No. 940, plus an image of the entire original work of art.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting both the planet Neptune, and Neptune, the ancient Roman god of the sea, designed and combined engraved by French artist Pierre Albuisson (1952- ) and photogravure, and issued by Monaco on October 14, 1996 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the planet, Scott No. 2014, plus an image of the velificans mosaic of Neptune in his seahorse-drawn triumphal chariot (mid-3rd century AD, Sousse Archaeological Museum) which was a model for this stamp's design.
