Hello
I'd like your opinion on these stamps.

1) First row - there's real difference in the color, but I found reference to only one stamp of this kind. Are they both the same?

2) The second row - I could find only revenue stamps facing right. Couldn't find these in the catalogs at hand for me.
Are they regular revenue stamps? Is the date a cancellation or overprint?

3) I have pdf version of Scott and SG. How do I search these catalogs to find a stamp?

4) Is there a way to search in multi paged posts here? For example, if I want to find something specific in Rod's post on Turkey, is there a way to find the right page? I couldn't manage it with the search engine.

Thanks for reading.

Yes, a bit tricky, I have tried to be descriptive with any specialty stamps,
but with Album Pages scanned, very difficult.
I have an index myself, but unable to have it on the thread.
Best to post your query on the Turkey thread, and some of us will surely solve it for you.

Can you give me some (short) text on your turkey query, I have an idea...

You can use the "site limiter"

try this... Google

Italian postal stamps and revenue site:www.stampcommunity.org

You should arrive at this thread.

Ergo, if you select the most appropriate text string prior to the site limiter,
you should be afforded multiple pertinent threads / posts on this forum.

Thank you both.
About the search in multi page posts - it wasn't about Turkey. The other day I searched for something here, and one of the results was another post by you, Rod, with dozens pages, and it took me to the first page.
As for your link, Perf, should I assume that the date on my stamps is just a cancellation that just happened to be at the same place and direction on the stamps? Or is it an overprint that is not mentioned on that site? The site refers these stamps to 1929, but the cancellation/overprint on my stamps is 1922.
I also found them in SB (http://stampboards.net/viewtopic.php?t=19752) and there they were attributed to 1924.

The 1929 I think refers too the first set.
In this link almost half way down,List of TASSA DI BOLLO LUSSO E SCAMBI
and the commercial issue afterwards.( In Italian but we can figure it out).

The dates on your stamps are fiscal cancels.

The "coincidence" of a common date is that they probably came together from the same document and have resided together ever since. Maybe they joined up later, but I bet they've spent the time together.

The best reference for these stamps in English is published by Barefoot, in their Italy volume.
