I am glad that you found a potential seller for what sounds like a valuable collection. I have had my stamp dreams of riches (ha!) smashed - the stamps I have are not worth very much so I don't think that selling mine to a dealer is an option. So lucky you!

I wish you the best of luck when you do sell your stamps, and I would keep coming to this wonderful forum if I were you, the folks here are kind, helpful and friendly.

Best of luck selling your stamps, Julie

I do not think that IfYouLoveIt should quit his/her job day. This appears to be a nice collection, based solely on the US stamps shown I would guess it might generate up to $700-$900 on ebay if sold from the images shown. Of course there might be some hidden value not yet shown, more pictures will help.

I'm taking some photos of the 1800's foreign stamps today, what I showed you is a tiny amount of what is here. There is more than 1 US album with old stamps like that, there is at count 16 albums here, I am still going through boxes.

Posting in the inherited a stamp collection forum. Since I do not know the hot Countries to collect, I asked if people could let me know and I will find some from those countries from the 1800's. So far I have heard Britain and China. He has everything. I really appreciate the help, I am recovering from almost dying 2 months ago, hence the sell off.

My name is Barbara :) So happy to have found you all, nice group of people here, takes me back to my childhood and the stamp clubs I used to go to!
