It looks like a Rasdale bulk lot.

What do you both mean by, "It looks like a Rasdale bulk lot". I have never heard that term before, is that good or bad?

Googled- Rasdale bulk lot, came up with their auction house. Thank you. What do you mean by a bulk lot? I do not know the stamp terms, I was a child collector, I am over 50 now :)

A bulk lot is just a large grouping of material - sometimes a box lot of loose stamps and/or covers, Misc. binders, etc. The whole collection would be sold as one lot. The first day covers would be sold as a bulk lots as they are worth little as individuals (less than $1 in most cases for Art Craft cachets). Most of the modern mint U.S. stamps (1940's to present) would be sold as one bulk lot with a few exceptions.

From what I've seen of your material, Modern Stamps in Michigan is on the same level of material. http://www.modernstamps.com/ They have pretty frequent auctions too.

Thank you for showing the pics. Obviously very large collection.
The stamps you have shown are not of the condition that an auction firm like Siegel would be interested in selling as individual items. Thus selling as a "bulk lot" is more likely strategic approach by an auction house to get you most money for the collection.

My question to you... how much do you think the US stamps you have shown would sell for on ebay or via auction house? The highest price stamp you showed I believe is the 65c Zep. Curious what your expectations are for this stamp in the condition you have shown?

I've only been able to show about 1% of the stamps and I do not know which ones to show. I think I will contact the California auction house, take the collection there. I've been trying to photograph some pages from the first international album I grabbed, but I don't know what to show you.

Dang, I didn't manage to get most of the 1800's ones on here, I took so many photos and started to download them then it stopped letting me put in photos.

Hello. Looking at the non-US stamps, there appears to be a selection of what you tend to find in a general worldwide collection, that is, lower values from sets, without the scarcer material. If that's symptomatic, you may be looking at the lower end of a bulk sale at a mid-range stamp auction house. Good luck!

This is just a piece of one of many albums. I am going to contact the Invine auction house, take it to them and go from there. My camera takes bad photos, my hand shakes, and I have an entire house of antiques I need to liquidate. China, art, coins, porcelain, French Furniture, 10-12th century Chinese art, vintage and antique jewelry, some worth a frigging fortune, watches, fobs, crazy stuff from every century and every kind of collectible. I'm surrounded by almost my entire family's treasures as almost everyone in my life has died. It has been unbelievable and I live in a museum of tears. I need to move most of it out as it makes me so sad to be only just over 50 and alone. I still cannot believe it and now my health is a mess.

I concur with GeoffHa, the album is for general beginners with spaces just for the cheaper stamps and the low values of sets. Most of the stamps have a Scott catalog of 25 cents and sell for less than that at shows, etc. Did he have any foreign albums that focused on a specific country? Look for albums that have the stamps only one the front of the page and include all the stamps of a country.

Barbara. I just sent you an email. I live fairly close to you and could probably help you make a decision on how to proceed. There are a few stamp clubs in the general area (not too close), and some monthly shows (San Diego, Anaheim, etc.) where you can have some experts give you a quick look also.

By the way, your overall stamp collection looks pretty much like the one my grandmother gave to me so many years ago. By adding areas of interest, and selling off some of the other items, you will have a great collection to keep, sell, or hand off to the next generation.
