Hello, friends,

I've got this #11A with an unusual town cancel with a probable 3 PAID at the bottom, and a period after both the town and what I believe is ME for the state of Maine. A candidate is Amherst Maine. I'd appreciate it if anyone has seen this CDS before can show a fuller example or provide any other help with the ID.

This is plate position 99R2L, with a line connecting the upper label block to the top of the upper right diamond block and extending to the right frame line.

That is a "3 PAID" CDS. Only a Mainer like me would know that Amherst was not a big enough town to use one of those. Try and see if you can find a Belfast example and I will try to think of some other candidates.

Well done, Mainer Sinclair! Found this Belfast ME CDS on ebay, complete with periods. Case closed:
