Just received this e-mail...really too bad.

The Fairfax StampFest show for November 2017 has been CANCELLED.

Jack Ott, my husband, died seven months ago. The Jack Ott Stamps business is no more.

Many of you have sent your condolences and I appreciate them. Jack cared a great deal about all of you and I knew many of you have affectionaate memories of him.

PLEASE TELL YOUR STAMP COLLECTOR FRIENDS THE SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

Did Jack Ott run the show and that was the reason it was cancelled? I was curious of the connection as if one dealer was the show.

Here in the Seattle area we have a show/bourse that is held every two months. It was run by a pair of dealers, one of who passed away a few years ago and the other soon retired. Fortunately someone else took over running it and it is still going on.

UPDATE...

On the Virginia Stamp Show's website:

2017

November 25-26. Fairfax. Fairfax StampFest.
NOTE: There has been some misinformation spread about the above show. The promoter assures us that it is still going to happen.

I'm trying to find out what's going on...possible the original e-mail I got was a hoax? Although I know that Jack Ott did recently pass away.

When I heard the Fairfax show was cancelled, I was thinking of the Virginia show.

Yes, Fairfax, Virginia.

New update from the new promotor:

"Yes long story Mrs Ott has no connection with our show
Cary"

Confusing situation, but the show is on, and I will be going. Sorry if I added to the 'misinformation'

Chris
