Can Someone Tell Me Where To Find Europa Stamps In The Scott Catalog?

I have a small pile of Europa stamps, I have looked at all the Scott volumes and can't seem to find Europa stamps anywhere. I googled it and got the following information from linns.com:




I am looking for the above section, I went through all the indexes in my catalog (2009) and cannot find this section.

I'm afraid, you should check country by country. The problem is that it started with a few W.European countries (one of which, Saar, no longer exits) and ended with most Western European countries. Even a "Eastern block" one (Jugoslavia) issued "Europa" stamps. Some European catalogs, like Yvert et Tellier, list also "Europa" stamps separataley. Nowadays, all European countries issue "Europa" stamps.

Hi Cursus, thank you very much for your reply. I have seen some Europa stamps in the catalog, I am having trouble identifying some of these stamps because I am not able to find them in the catalog, I will keep looking. From the blurb I put up in the first post from linns.com I thought there might be a special section somewhere, thank you for explaining why this section is no longer there. Julie

Each of the Scott catalogs has a common design section in the front and there's a section for most common design Europa stamps. It doesn't include the catalog values, but does have the Scott numbers.

Hey Julie....I enjoy your questions. Don't let EUROPA throw you. Each stamp should still have a country name on it (i.e, EUROPA stamps from Germany may have Deutsche Bundepost or Deutschland on them, etc.), and they will all be listed under those individual countries. There are a lot of them. Greg

Europa and then try by country such as Europa Greece and Europa Greece 1971 for example.

Thank you to all who posted in this thread, I was looking in the wrong place, an ebay search (thank you redwoodrandy) pulled up the stamps with the Scott numbers, now I will be able to locate them. Thank you all!

By the way redwoodrandy, your username reminds me of my old home in Sonoma County California, I lived in the redwoods for 12 years - loved it but circumstances dictated that I had to leave and wound up where I am now. If I had come here a year ago I could have been redwoodjulie lol - just teasing there , Julie
