Having moved parts of my collection to the larger Palo regular pages, I still maintain most of my collections on Scott specialty pages. I find the pages, as DrewM stated, "very well designed, sturdy, good looking". An example of one of the Bohemia and Moravia pages is shown.

Lou, that is a beautiful album page. And you've used clear mounts instead of the usual black mounts. Both are certainly attractive, but clear mounts have the advantage of not making every slight misalignment of a mount look bad. With clear mounts, small height differences in placing a mount are not really noticeable they way they can be with black mounts. More importantly, though, they look really good and don't overwhelm the page like a page covered with black-backed mounts sometimes can be. In an aesthetic hobby, I don't think these are silly concerns.

I appreciate all the input. It's all food for thought and to tell the truth it all has my head spinning. I continue to try to find a solution that's both aesthetic and cost effective. I really like the Schaubek blank pages and binder suggestion and went as far as putting a couple in an online cart, however a further search around the inter web revealed just a a limited number of sources for these (none on Subway, Schaubek's site doesn't ship to individuals in the US, Amos Advantage requires a special order from Germany and they were back ordered on IHobb) and I'm concerned that they will get even more difficult to acquire in the future (yes, I know Schaubek's been around for 100 years but...). I don't want to begin with a system that I can't use far into the future. I sure appreciate the example of the Scott Specialty page and it's a possibility, cost is closer to affordable too. The clear mounts are a good touch for all the reasons DrewM cites. However I stumbled on an approach that I find intriguing. It was a post on the Big Blue site that detailed a combination of Brown Scott International pages held in archival page protectors and Lighthouse Vario pages mounted in Vario F and G binders. It was based on the example of Gibbons Windsor Album. While "The Brown Derby" was focused on a classic collection, it could certainly work for a single country. I'm going to do a trial and post the results. Of course I'll count the costs as well- might not be the best once the numbers are added up. Again, thanks much for all the responses and suggestions- they are truly appreciated.

Just another option if you like the blank quadrille page route.

Davo sells a binder with 60 blank quadrille pages:

I have a few Davo quadrille pages and they are very nice (110 lb, I think)
