I joined a month or so ago and have been reading a lot of the forums recently. I collect WW up to about 1950, some Kentucky stampless covers, and anything that catches my eye. I have collected since a child and been a member of APS since the early 80's. Reading this forum has re-fired my enthusiasm and I am starting to go through boxes that I have had for 20 or so years to get rid of duplicates. I look forward to sharing what little I know while absorbing all that you share.

Welcome to our phun philatelic phorum!
Do you go to the Nashville area clubs and shows? I hear they are quite active and I plan to try to make it soon (I'm in Marietta near Atlanta and today NOBODY is going ANYWHERE!). We have at least eight or more inches of snow here, and the roads are slushy and will freeze over tonight.
Good day for stamps, but I am stuck staying/sleeping at work, like many folks around here. I DID bring a few books of stamps for emergency situations. Thank God we still have power--100,000 customers in metro area do not!

Just like you, I am enthusiastic about stamps again after a 20-year hiatus...and just waded thru my entire collection (accumulation?) of unmounted WW material. It's now all sorted out and ready to mount.
This forum has made collecting so much more fun. I wish you a joyous return to the hobby! |

Nashville is about 4 hours away so no. However, the Knoxville club and my local Holston Stamp Club (NE Tenn) are both very active. |
