Hi, I'm trying to find a home for a great many Austria WWI Military Stamps. There are no designations for these in the Scotts Internationals that I can find.
I have these in two types - pics of Franz Josef and of Emperor Karl. The only verbiage on the stamps are "KuK Feldpost" on the top, and the denomination on both the bottom right and left corners. There are no other words/numbers on the stamps.
Apparently these were issued in 1916, but I'm wondering if they were ever used. The 24 or so I have are all "new" in condition.
I'm having trouble posting an image, but the above should help identifying them. Any insight you could provide would be appreciated.

I can't help with the albums but the stamps are listed in Scott at the end of the Austria listing with prefix M. |

Nigelc, THANK YOU!
I am embarrassed. I previously looked in the back section a few times with no luck. Why? Well it seems that the page was stuck together (static electricity?). Anyway, looking at the page numbers I realized I had bypassed a page. Getting it opened revealed all the designations of my "missing" stamps. Goodness, that is a true rookie mistake................
Thank you !

Austrian Hungarian Fieldpost stamps.
KuK: Kaiserliche und Königliche.
Frans Josef series is isued 1915-1917 and Karl I is 1917-1918.
Unused example are not difficult, used ones on cover are difficult.
I would like to show a scan of the michel catlogue, but I do not know if I am stepping over copyright boundries. |

I just found a couple of the subject stamps that have the currency type "BANI" in the center bottom. Are these in the same grouping as above, or ??? |

Johan, You are correct! They are listed under Romania (Rumania) in the Scotts catalog.
Goodness, it seems I learn something new about this hobby all the time.
Thank you! |
