Scott (1999) shows these semi-postals to have been issued in 1945, however, every stamp that I have is imprinted in the marginal as "31-12-46"

Is Scott incorrect, was there a reissue in 1946 or is 1945 correct and the marginal correct and simply not noted in Scott?

Looking forward to the responses from the Netherlands experts...

Merry Christmas to All!

Assuming that this is the Child Welfare set with the little girl with curly hair, SG gives the issue date as 1 December 1945,

I would have to see scans of the margin markings . Hard to guess who put them there .

Back in the day these stamps had a limited time of usage. The date is the last date the stamps could be used.

The text says "GELDIG T/M 31-12-46", which translates as valid (for postage) up to and including 31 December 1946.

Thank you, all. Jan is correct re the complete marginal text and it makes sense once translated.
