Lithograving, very nice indeed. And may I add that I love the way Canada Post cancels the stamp? Here in the Stats you can not read th holiday cancel; I think they just recycled the one from previous years. That cancel smears the stamps badly, Peter |

Yes Peter I notice that most mail from the States has smeared cancellations. All in all Canada Post does a pretty good job overall. Most times mail from Toronto to my town Newmarket ( 50km north) is delivered next day. Got a couple of Xmas cards today from Toronto, mailed yesterday. From other provinces three to four days. From Austria usually a week to 10 days but I have received letters from Vienna within 4 days. |

It would not be unusual for a company/organization to do marketing that targets previous customers that have not made a purchase in X amount of time. Don |

I got my card Thursday (to Richmond Hill, Ontario) but it wasn't cancelled. I have had a standing order account with Canada Post for many years but don't offhand remember getting a postcard like this from them. Used to be the mailman would drop a card (not a postcard and no stamp, but from Canada Post, not the mailman personally) but that hasn't happened for a number of years. |

In the seventies I used to get Christmas cards with real stamps on them and pictorial cancels from the Austrian and Swedish postal agencies while I had subscription with them. |

I cancelled my 30+ year account a couple of years ago. I buy directly at or through my local Post Office as it needs $85.00 in Saturday monring sales to continue being open on that morning. I've never received a Post card from Canada Post. |

I took my copy to the monthly meeting of my local stamp club. Some members had received a post card and some had not. The only common thread among those who received a card was that we all got "Details" magazine in the mail. It would appear that buying or not buying from CP had little or nothing to do as to mailing. |
