Joh. Enschede Stamps B. V of the Netherlands has been printing
an ever increasing number of Austrian stamps for the last few years
all by offset.
A few mostly higher value commems where still printed by the Austrian State Printer
by combining offset with Etch-Art which is basically computer laser engraving without an engraver.
Now with the 150 Years Brennerbahn stamp issued on 15.7. 2017 Enschede
is printing Austrian stamps using offset combined with recess.

There is no engraver listed and to me the engraved portions look
very similar to Etch-Art.
Here is a link to a german stamp forum PhilaSeiten.de which has the info
http://www.philaseiten.de/cgi-bin/i...15&CP=0&F=20Three more Enschede combination printings appeared before the end of the year including this Rubens painting.

The scanner does not show the engraved portions
very well but the camera does.

Is it possible that the Austrian State Printer (Österreichische Staatsdruckerei)
which printed Austria's first stamp in 1850 is out of the stamp printing business ?
