Help With Japan Stamp Identification Please

I found these 2 lying in the book looked threw Japan and china unable to find their place! Any help appreciated.The 2 cut squares.

Very similar style to 1910's Japanese stamps, but the fact there is "Japanese Post" written is not typical. I do not know, but maybe I can look further into this later.

I would much appreciate it I sure could not find them and thanks.

They are aren't they, WOW wonder why they destroyed the rest of the card looks like could of had some great cancellations on that. Thanks a bunch rod222, and back of the book they go.

When any material is current, it lacks the same respect as that which is very old.
At that time, the cynosure was on the stamp, or stamp image, It possibly didn't occur to the owner that these cards would one day become valuable in the postal history sense.

Even now, we collectors are "trashing" postal material because it is commonplace. That's the way things are.

The philatelic concious collector my be putting aside these modern items, that will be valuable in 2117 possibly.

"Barefoot" "Higgins and Gage" Catalogue would possibly list this stationery.

Do the stationery pieces have glue/paper remnants on the back? If so, they came from sheets of stamps sold to tourists as souvenirs. Those could have a combination of any or all genuine cheap stamps, revenues, classic fakes and postal card cuts. Here's one, contemporary with the stamps issued:


The postal cards are in the Japan specialized catalogs which I do not have at hand. Nothing rare here thought the postmark on the 5rn is slightly better than normal. That said, most collectors of those cancels seem to ignore cut squares.
