The kicker would be if he had chicken "hot wing" sauce on his fingers.

This is evidently just an inexperienced seller. With only 5 feedbacks, this seller probably either inherited the stamps or picked them up in a flea market/garage sale venue.

I agree the prices are out of line, both for the initial bid and for the shipping. If no one buys the stamp, the seller will have to adjust both eventually.

If not, this is another candidate for endless listing until December 2117....

Anyone have any idea what the stamp is sitting on in the photo? Looks like a pair of dark gloves.

I'd put this listing in the same category as the ones from the guy discussed earlier who took pics of items on his lap and treated everyone to views of his hairy legs.

To give this a little perspective maybe, how else is a new seller supposed to learn? You don't hatch out of the egg knowing all there is about ebay auctions when you decide to start selling there. Like anything else it takes time and experience to make a good seller. I agree that this seller looks a little ridiculous, but the important thing in my eyes is that the stamp did not sell with his pricing, so in theory he should review his listing for mistakes before re-listing, including for a pricing mistake. Myself, in the same situation, I would drop the price - but not all sellers do that, I know.

On the other hand - I do understand how a buyer would be annoyed and exasperated at sellers who list at ridiculous prices - I am one myself. I can't believe some of the pricing out there, but thank goodness the world keeps turning...

I haven't seen the hairy leg stamp photos (thank goodness), but I think a little common sense needs to come into play. A quick search by hairy leg on ebay before he started selling stamps would show him how other's portray their stamps, he didn't seem to bother to do that. Sounds lazy to me, now, oddly, I want to see one of his, um, stamp photos.

Some things ought to be common sense, but I guess not?

Maybe the hairs stood the stamps up nicely for taking photos?

I don't know how many people I've met who tried to sell me a bunch of stamps they " inherited" - and wanted a fortune for them as they were 50 years old! If you are young, or have no knowledge of the field I suppose it's understandable that you think something of that age is valuable. I suppose.

In my own modest opinion, most non-collectors and heirs only remember hearing about 'stamp collections' when those collections were valuable. Since they themselves have no interest in collecting little bits o paper, all they really recall are collections that sold at news worthy prices.
