Hi All!
Below are the images of an engraved 2cents2. One can feel the lines of engraving with the finger-nail. It is a darker bright carmine color.
The dimension of the design is 18.5x22mm. It seems to be Type I - not Ia etc.
Fiddling with the image editor I see some lines which look like watermarks mainly above the left 2 (of the black and white picture), but I have no idea what they are.
[I uploaded the front of the stamp with same gradients of black and white only to show the small '1' in the fourth line of the cancellation, above the ear. I guess that is something having to do with the type of the machine used.]
Is the stamp a Scott#406, please?
Perforations are 12x12 in a 20mm segment.
Thank you very much!
