Kiss Prints And Double Prints

There is a current thread elsewhere in this forum about a possible double print or kiss print on a recess-printed stamp from Cook Islands:

We all seem to have different interpretations of what a "kiss print" is during the production of recess-printed stamps. Can anyone here definitively tell us why a "kiss print" would come about, and how to tell the difference between one and a genuine double print?

Ralph Trimble, at Re-entries.com, tried to tackle this and other examples on his terms page, though he is primarily making the distinction against a Re-Entry

I think the main distinction is that a double print (or double impression) is normally a very strong, clear doubling of the entire design or a large portion of such. The kiss print (sometimes a slurred or slip print) would be where the paper bounced or moved once placed, causing a generally blurred section.

But I'd like to get some more specific information on what occurred here. A numismatic expert described it as a "bounce print". But it is the only impression out of eight where this occurs.

Any thoughts?
