Bidding up to $1500, imagine dropping $1500 on this item. The anticipation of the package to arrive and then opening the parcel only to find a used, faulty stamp not worth $100. This seller is damaging to the hobby and this is why I refuse to buy from them even if a spot what I think is a good deal.
There are good sellers on ebay but sorting and filtering by price is not the way to find them. We need to educate others that buying good, quality material is costly. Instead, we seem to love to do
ebay's marketing for them by touting the bargains we find on
ebay.
Finding a bargain on
ebay takes one of two things; either you are incredibly lucky (i.e. lottery lucky) or you have the years of experience and knowledge to be able to find and then identify quality material at a great price.
But the vast majority of quality sellers know exactly what they have and it's value. Seeking bargains with sellers like NY Stamps will only get you disappointment and encourage them to keeping selling misrepresented material.
