Luxembourg A45 1fr 20c Stamp - Cannot Locate Scott Catalog Number (1951-1953)

Just cataloging my father's Benelux Scott Specialty album published in 1958. The 2015 Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue does not have a number for this denomination, even though there is a space in their 1958 album for this denomination. I have stamps for numbers 265-271 (denominations 5c, 10c, 40c, 1.25fr, 2.5 fr, 3 fr., 3.5fr) but 1.20fr seems to be missing from the catalog. Anyone know why this is?

Welcome to the forum. This stamp was issued 18 May 1953. It was probably a change in postal rates why it as issued away from the rest of the series. It is most likely listed in Scott ( I do not have a WW catalog ), away from the others,

Thanks, Peter. I do see it now in the catalog. 292 is the scott's number. I've only just started this effort of cataloging. The album has been kept closed for the past 55 years or so. In a strange way, it's brought me closer to understanding my father's passion for stamp collecting.

Hi Benelux. It is not strange as you say - rather understandable if you consider the fact that stamps from the fifties and earlier were probably done much more thoughtful than they are nowadays.
