PS: He was an avid gardener, whoever bought his house probably has a stash of valuables hidden in that garden, the greenhouse, he even had 2 headstones in his backyard that he took back from the cemetery when they were going to change them! They ended up in my backyard for 15 years after his death, my husband dragged them back to our house! Bet he had a stash under those headstones, too late now :( BTW, how many of you had to live with 2 cemetery headstones in your yards? Thanks ex husband, we sure were talked about! by the neighbors who saw them, so embarrassing!
Don't you want to go over there and dig for treasure, get a metal detector, dang! If we knew then what we know now...... should have, could have, would have, that's what we always said in poker!
And here I am, with boxes and boxes of stamps, knowing that I really have to look at them all or take them to an auction house, he has things marked with 'special grills', certain types of cancels, all the things I never learned as a kid. How on Earth would they go through 100,000+ stamps, a lot of them loose but the bulk in excellent condition the way he stored them? It would take someone month's, I can't imagine an auction house would just throw batches together knowing there are valuable stamps mixed in with the common stuff.
I know he is laughing right now!
