Rod, the airmail stamps from your first post are described as imperforate, but it looks like some kind of very low-frequency rouletting. One or two little nubs appear to protrude from each side. What gives?

Keen eyesight.
Alas! I cannot offer any explanation.

For Interest:
On the Gabon Postage Due, is inscribed "Mandarin"
The Scott describer, has decided (Perhaps by its colour) that it is the sub-species "Tangerine"

From the French colonial period, until separate issues were replaced by those for French Equatorial Africa. First page not shown, as I don't have, or expect to have, any of Yvert 1-15. Also missing Yvert 55.

Geoff- agree with Funcity, absolutely gorgeous Gabon collection with the 1910 set complete. Nice copies of the 10F and 20F are extremely difficult.

Thank you both. Most of this actually owes very little to me, and most to the (French) collector who originally assembled most of the material I have from Gabon. I transferred the colonial issues to my MOC leaves, but left his post-independence work intact, as I couldn't really have improved on it.

Thanks, Rod. As I'm in sorting and disposing - certainly not acquiring - mode these days, I thought I'd add a few pages to your voluminous threads!
