These are stamps from the 'Kingdom of Sedang'; if they saw any postal use, it was probably only local. Here's an article that explains them better:

I believe they still issue stamps, although not very frequently. The last one I remember seeing was a Dr. Who topical from a couple years ago.

There's also a specialized catalog of Sedang issues.

Sedang is located somewhere Southeast Asia between the Annam Empire westernern border and the Mekong River & north of Cochin China. Sedang was established in 1888.
Marie David de Mayrena a was French miltary officer whom service in the "Corps de Guides" during the Franco-Prussia, later assigned administrative duty in in
Sumatra for the French Government looking to expand in that region. Later with
Jesuit priests travel into Cochin China then into the Sedang region of Annam.
Mayrena was skilled in science & engerneering and considered this area to be rich in minerals. He returned to France and won a commission to trace the Mekong to it's source. So in 1888 he and 20 volunteers began the expedition up the Mekong. When he reached the area of Sedang, there was an epidemic among the
local natives, but had medicals supplies sufficent to quell the epidemic, thus winning the devotion of those people. Then the Chiefs gathered and voted Mayrena Chief-of-Chiefs or King of Sedang. In the process he married a chiefs' daughter.
Stamps inscribed "DEH SEDANG" (Kingdom of Sedang) were issue in 1888 & 1889.

The kingdom's website claims to share a border with Vietnam. The current king, His Majesty, King Marie David III has ruled since 1992 after the assassination of his father. The latest stamp issue is from 2003. All 3 stamps issued are on Bob's Jan 31, 2003 1st Day Cover.

Yes, Marty, the 2003 issue shown by Bob of the 4Gs is the last that I know of. The Doctor Who stamps were issued in 1999.

Here is a link to their list on their website:

The first two printings could be argued as legitimate, but anything else is just a form of local post as a micronation in exile.

Spotted these 3 mini sheets for sale recently - anyone know if they are originals or perhaps copies of the originals?

The web address http://www.sedang.hm/stamp001.htm is a dead link now.
