Hopefully this will help. I'd soak the paper off the back of the stamp.

Don, for some reason I struggle finding things on stamp smarter. I did go there first for a link and even launched the 1847 link but couldn't find page you posted which is exactly the one I was looking for.

Hi stallzer,
Understood, it is a large site with thousands of pages. If a user spent 1 minute per page it would take them 24+ hours to view it all. And out of respect for the work he poured into it, I retained most of Bob Allen's original 1847usa website organization. His vision was that folks were 'visual' so he expected folks to start with the visual identifier page
http://www.stampsmarter.com/1847usa...nkNotes.html and then would drill down into more detailed pages.

I have also indexed all the webpages for easy searching http://stampsmarter.com/Search/Home_Search.html
Don

Thanks Don. I just need to spend more time in the site getting familiar with the different areas.

There are also color varieties that I believe haven't been catalogued.
