EssayK (or someone else with the knowledge and photoshop skills), could you note/mark the "column of incomplete vertical ridge points" on the OP's stamp? My eyes get crossed at the drop of a hat when looking at grills. Much appreciated. |

in the first post the scan of the back: on the top right of the grill you see like a vertical line. |

To those who are waiting to hear results, I have not yet sent the stamp for certification. I decided to join APS and from memory I think have to wait a little longer before I can get the member discount. I have several items I want to have certified, so member discounts will come in handy. I will be sending it on my next trip to the US which may be around the end of the year. |

10 days ago, I sent the stamp to APS. I had to wait a period of time before getting member discounts which accounts for the delay. |

Well, it has taken much more time than expected, none of which is a failure on APEX's part. It was nothing more than difficulties due to not living in the US. The certificate is in the mail and good news for me. It is genuine. I asked APEX to list faults on the certificate but none are listed. Before sending the stamp I examined it at high resolution and could not find any trace of what appeared to be a small tear. APEX did not either unless they do not list faults even if asked to do so. Or other info is on the actual certificate. |

Thanks for the congratulations, everyone. One comment: althought it appears to be a red manuscript in the photo, it is actually black. I wish it were red. But I'm pleased that I took a risk when I bought the stamp.
This was my first ever submission for certification. I had also at the same time submitted another stamp of which I had doubts. A Nevis 50th Anniversary of Spitfire Scott #460 red missing. It too came back positive. |
