I picked these up while in Australia a few weeks back. Thought you might enjoy seeing these. Some nostaglia with the aircraft types shown.

The stamps were issued to show the Island's civil aviation history and each stamp represents a "chapter" of this history from 1939 to the 1970s.

Thanks Rod, yes that one is a stunning stamp and of course a lovely aircraft.

For other readers who might be interested Rod showed the 1963 issue. The aircraft is a Lockheed L.1049G Super Constellation. Perhaps readers are familiar with the Qantas "Connie" which has been well promoted in past years with John Travolta flying it as a Qantas ambassador.
