This is a very interesting oddity.

This Canada Scott 1906 "Royal Military College"
stamp seems to have the colour coper/bronze missing from the 47 cent numeral.

Bottom stamp is brown numerals.

We know the copper/bronze colour is made up reddish brown to produce copper/bronze.

It is very hard to reproduce what I see holding the actual stamp with a magnifying glass in front of me, but here goes nothing.

Top stamp is the one with the copper/bronze missing.

Here is a little better close up (as good as a USB microscope can produce}.

Here is the colour capture from my program with colour differences.

Check your stamps an please get back to me.

Robert - the picture below shows various sections of your two stamps.

Your top stamp is at my left and your bottom stamp is at my right.

Yellow circles indicate the only apparent differences, which are the dark greenish part in the wheeled army vehicle and the spikes on top of the left building are thick on one and narrow on the right (hard to see unless magnified). All of the colours appear to be the same.

I'm away and don't know if I have the traffic lights to show.
