I have been collecting various types of postage stamps since the 1960's and am getting back into it.My collection is mostly U.S, presidents(tons of duplicates) but am looking at just bird stamps but haven't decided on U.S. or worldwide. Your thoughts, please
The selection of birds on U.S. stamps is rather limited, at a guess probably no more than 250 different. That said, a truly worldwide collection would be daunting. Perhaps birds from a selected area or group of countries or continents? Which could, of course, include U.S. stamps as a subset.
I suggest you just start collecting what you find appealing, and quite likely you will start to narrow your interests to a manageable sub-category of the topic. The main thing is to enjoy it!
