Just joined because I might have a few (or many) questions regarding stamps. I inherited a while ago some stamps and now I often run into a dead end when I can't find any info. online that tells me what kind of stamp do I have.
For starters... any ideas where this is unused and hinged stamp or print comes from? I would appreciate any guidance. THank you
Welcome to the community, Ale. I would say that this stamp was issued on the early days (1945/46) of the Soviet occupation of East Germany. Hopefuly someone American-based (I'm from Catalonia, Europe) can give you an Scott number.
Cursus is right. You'll find the stamp at the end of the Scott Catalog listings for East Germany, listed under East Saxony. Scott number 15N14, with a catalog value of $0.20 in my 2008 catalog. There were a number of different stamps issued on a regional and local basis in Germany after the war.
