Hi everyone,
Recently I received several used George Washington 3 cents with grills on the back of the stamps. I am not very experienced with grills. I am aware that must determine with grills up and down positions. I am having a hard time determining the count on the grills. The seller informed me that they are all "f" grills, Scott94 ( grill down position.) Is he is correct? I thought the second stamp counts 18 points.
Could someone please assist me to help me determine what are the scott numbers for these 3 stamps?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

yes they all look like F grills which would be then Scott 94/94a depending on the color. I don't count any 18 rows there, but as the ridges seem vertical it's between E and F grill and E grill is larger. Better images would help. Maybe the second one is an E grill which normally would expaned to the right, also it has a horizontal incomplete line.

Thank you for your response. I attempted to enlarge the second stamp for a better view.

P.S. There is no gum on any three of them. All in used condition. Unused with no gum would have been wonderful!
