'Offer to buy the album intact " many dealers and collectors have already reviewed that collection and thought the price was too high . It takes the right person to view the lot and determine the best way to sell it at a profit ,sounds like that is what the high bidder did. It would now have to sell for $4,000 or more to see a return on investment.
Not seeing all of it ,my guess is the high bidder looked at all the pages and decided he can meet his goal and understood what buyers want .Over all a nice jump for those who are trying to fill the Big Blues if they can find enough on those pages to justify the purchase price .

No offers so far but I have no interest in selling it intact. I operate with very little inventory and without this collection I would have barely enough stock to make it to the Kelliher auction on March 24. Anyway I received the collection on Tuesday and started selling it on Wednesday and it is very popular.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the collection pop up on Rasdale. For me it was perfectly described but for others it was perhaps under described, not much enthusiasm and an estimate of $3500. As I mentioned for me it was a perfect description because I pretty much knew this collection because it was almost exactly like the one described here;

The Rasdale collection has the added bonus of a great US section which will sell for $2000+. I don't know if this one will do as well as the one in the blog but I'm pretty confident I will do fine.
