I was just wondering why everyone collects what they are collecting?
You can say I'm curious, or nosey, but either way, I am interested.

Even though I am in Canada, my main interest is Australian stamps. When I first started looking at them, they just drew me in. Then I realized that there aren't that many stamps that are out of price range, to begin with. There are lots of different flaws, varieties, and even flyspecks to look for. Including the one that I finally got some help with.
I have been able to find a lot more specialized catalogues for Australian and Australian States stamps then for some other countries. Including handbooks on postmarks, revenues, etc, which I enjoy reading about. Half the fun is collecting reference material.

It has annoyed me a bit over the last couple of years the way the post office is putting out so many stamps in different formats. Two sets of self adhesive, and a set of regular sheet stock. I'm still collecting all of them.

I do collect a few other countries, and some topics, but Australia will always be my first priority.
